Our prediction for this Segunda Division match:
Thursday’s football game at Estadio Anxo Carro pits together Lugo and Sporting Gijon. The hosts desperately needed a win against Racing Santander, and they managed to get one, but despite the triumph they are still sitting in the relegation zone. Joselu remains on the sidelines with an ACL injury for the home side. Los Rojiblancos, on the other hand, are stuck in the middle of the table with 23 points on their account.
Gijon often struggle on the travels, and given their anything but good display in a 1-0 loss to Las Palmas, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the home team. Axel Bamba misses out with a tendon problem, while Pol Valentin Sancho is a major doubt, and he will be assessed ahead of the kick-off. You should know that under 2.5 goals have been netted in each of their last five encounters in the Spanish second tier.
