Atletico Madrid will look to put an end to their three-match winless run when they host Elche to their Estadio Wanda Metropolitano in their first game after the World Cup break. Los Rojiblancos aim to climb to the Champions League berth, and their display in a 3-1 Copa del Rey win over Arenteiro is surely giving fans a reason for optimism. The good news for the hosts is that both Antoine Griezmann and Joao Felix are back to contention after representing France and Portugal respectively at the 2022 World Cup finals.
Los Franjiverdes, on the other hand, impressed in a 3-0 win over Guadalajara, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry against Atletico Madrid, who are a real force to be reckoned with at home. Playing as a winger or second striker, Griezmann possesses impressive technical skills, he is a strong finisher and still finds time to work hard for his side, so no wonder he is widely regarded as one of the leading forwards on the continent. He won the U19 European Championship with France and is tipped to lead Les Bleus to glory on senior level as well.
