Hartlepool will be aiming to make amends for a 3-1 loss to Carlisle United when they take on Colchester United at their Victoria Park. The Pools want to escape the danger zone, and they are certainly capable of matching the U’s on home soil. All Mikael Ndjoli, Euan Murray, and Jake Hastie are rated doubtful after the trio was hit by virus.
The visitors, on the other hand, shared the spoils with Salford City on Tuesday evening, with Fiacre Kelleher scoring the equalizing goal. Colchester are seven points clear of the relegation zone, meaning that they would be happy with one point from Saturday’s clash. Appiah wore Peterborough United, Weymouth, King’s Lynn, Kettering Town, Brackley Town, Thurrock, Margate, Crystal Palace, Aldershot Town, Yeovil Town, Cambridge United, Notts County, Reading and Viking shirts before signing a permanent deal with AFC Wimbledon in 2017. His main position is centre-forward, but he is capable of producing fine performances as both second striker and left winger as well.
