After lifting their fifth FIFA Club World Cup trophy thanks to a 5-3 win over Al-Hilal, Real Madrid will look to keep their La Liga title hopes alive when they take on Elche in a postponed Primera Division game. Los Blancos are eleven points behind league leaders Barcelona, meaning that this has to go down as a must-win game for Karim Benzema and Co. The French attacker has overcome his injury, as well as Eder Militao, while Vinicius Junior is banned for the match.
The visitors, on the other hand, are stuck at the bottom with only 9 points on their account, and given their poor away record in the 2022/2023 season, anything but a routine home win would be a major surprise.
