Union Berlin and Ajax go head to head at Stadion An der Alten Forsterei in what is expected to be a close Europa League encounter. The Bundesliga side produced a fine display in Amsterdam (0-0), with the team eyeing their third consecutive clean sheet in all competitions. Both Haberer and Trimmel are back from domestic bans, while Andras Schafer remains on the sidelines with injury.
Meanwhile, the Amsterdammers rolled over Sparta Rotterdam 4-0 at the weekend, with captain Dusan Tadic producing one of his best performances of the season. However, the Eredivisie champions will have a much bigger fish to fry in Thursday’s showdown. Since Union Berlin are tough to beat at home, we believe that there is a big value in betting on draw. As for the visiting side, both Youri Baas and Ahmetcan Kaplan are major doubts, but interim boss John Heitinga can count on key players for the reverse fixture.

Over the years the Dutch footballer born in Amsterdam on October 8, 1997, has established himself as a first-team regular at PSV, earning a call-up for the national team as well. Steven Bergwijn made his Netherlands debut on October 12, 2018 in a 3-0 win over Germany. His main position is left winger, but he is used as both right winger and centre-forward as well.
His preferred foot is right and it has to be noted that his parents are of Suriname descent, he has a dual citizenship. Bergwijn scored 14 goals in 33 appearances for PSV in the 2018/2019 Eredivisie season.
