After holding ten-man Manchester United to a goalless draw at Old Trafford, Southampton will look to give fans yet another reason to celebrate when they face Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium. The Saints are desperate to escape the relegation zone, and we are positive that they will fight tooth and nail in Wednesday’s clash. Both Juan Larios Lopez and Tino Livramento are out of contention with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the home team.
The Bees, on the other hand, aim to stay in top ten, but seeing that they failed to impress in a 1-0 loss to Everton, we are tempted to put our money on the relegation-threatened hosts. As for the away team, goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha and midfielder Keane Lewis—otter are sidelined with injuries. In their last meeting at the venue Southampton crushed Brentford 4-1, and we predict that history is going to repeat itself.

Theo James Walcott is an English football player with roots from Jamaica born on 16th of March 1989 in London. Walcott started his football career for AFC Newbury and after scoring over 100 goals in his first season Southampton signed the young Walcott. After 2 seasons playing for the Saints scoring 4 goals in 21games Arsenal transferred Walcott to London for approximately 12 million GBP where he signed a 1 million GBP per year contract by the age of 17.
Walcott is known for being a very fast right-winger but is able to play as a striker as well. Walcott can be used very effectively to set up a counter attack but is the type of offensive player that is very dependant on the rest of the team.
Despite his young age Walcott made his debut for the English national team in May 2006 and played for over 40 games in the national team already. One of Walcott’s biggest weaknesses are his height (only 173cm) and the fact he get’s injured very quickly. Walcott won the FA Cup in 2013/2014 and 2014/15 with Arsenal and the Community Shield in 2015. During the World Cup in 2014 Walcott was injured.

The Bees have yet to play in the Premier League and it has to be noted that they made it to the FA Cup sixth round on four occasions (1937/1938, 1945/1946,1948/1949, 1988/1989). Brentford played in the League Cup round 4 in the 1982/1983 and 2010/2011 season and that is the club’s biggest success in the competition.
Brentford’s main rivals are Fulham and Queens Park Rangers and they take on each other in the West London Derby. The rivalry with the Cottagers is probably the biggest and you should bear in mind that the clashes between the two teams have their history of crowd violence.
