Our prediction for this Premier League match:
Aston Villa and Newcastle United face each other at Villa Park in the opening match of Saturday’s program. As expected, the Villans recorded a 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest at the weekend, with the team extending their winning run to four games, and they must be high on confidence ahead of the visit of Newcastle. Leon Bailey, who suffered an injury at the weekend, should recover in time to face the Magpies, while all Kamara, Coutinho, and Cash remain in the treatment room.
The visitors, on the other hand, came from behind to beat Brentford in their last league match, with the team remaining in the Champions League berth. Both Tottenham and Manchester United, though, are still breathing down their neck, meaning that the Villa Park clash is of big importance for Eddie Howe’s troops. Callum Wilson is pushing for a start after providing an assist for Alexander Isak at the weekend, while all Krafth, Almiron, and Saint-Maximin remain on the sidelines. Anyhow, the share of spoils is on the cards as the in-form Villans are tough to beat at home.
Highlighted Player (Emiliano Buendia):
Born on the 25th of December, 1996, Emiliano Buendia or "Emi" is an Argentine footballer who plays for Norwich City in the Premier League. Born in Mar del Plata, the pacey winger's youth career was initially spent playing for local club Cadetes de San Martin.
In 2009, he left Argentina to join Real Madrid and then Getafe in 2010 with whom he signed his first professional contract four years later. Buendia spent his primary season at Getafe playing for the reserves and made his professional debut the following season in a 1-0 away loss to Almeria on the 1st of February, 2015. After spending over three years at the club, Buendia left Getafe in 2017 on a year-long loan to join Cultural Leonesa.
At the end of the loan period, Buendia returned to Getafe, who, in turn, sold him to English club Norwich City. The 22-year-old so far has made 50 appearances for the Canaries, scoring 8 goals and providing 21 assists in the process. Buendia, who has both Spanish and Argentinian citizenship, has represented both countries at the under-19 level.
Highlighted Team (Newcastle United):
Newcastle United failed to impress in the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign and, as a result, they dropped to the English second tier. The Magpies will host their rivals at their St. James’ Park in the 2016/2017 Championship campaign and it has to be noted that the capacity of the stadium is 52,354.
Newcastle United have won four domestic trophies (1904/1905, 1906/1907, 1908/1909, 1926/1927), while lifting six FA Cup titles (1910, 1924, 1932, 1951, 1952, 1955) and a number of star players were part of the St. James’ Park outfit in the past.
David Ginola, Michael Owen, Alan Shearer, Les Ferdinand, Nolberto Solano, Gary Speed, Obafemi Martins and Kevin Nolan are notable footballers who are still remembered at the club. Newcastle’s fiercest rivals are Sunderland and there have always been fireworks when the two local rivals face each other in the Tyne-Wear derby. The color of Newcastle’s home kit is black and white.
