Reading
Monday’s football at Deepdale pits together Preston and Reading, the two teams with totally different ambitions for the season finale. The Lilywhites aim to build on back-to-back wins over Blackpool and QPR, and they are likely to adopt yet another attack-minded approach against Reading. A man to watch in the home team will be talented forward Thomas Cannon, who scored a brace in the last league match, while Alan Browne has joined Greg Cunningham and Emil Riis Jakobsen in the recovery room.
The Royals, on the other hand, failed to win the previous seven league fixtures, and given Preston’s fine form, anything but a routine home triumph would be a big surprise. Reading’s injury list is pretty long, including the likes of Shane Long, Tom Ince, Tom McIntyre, Liam Moore, Junior Hoilett, Abdul-Rahman Baba, Ovie Ejaria, Sam Hutchinson, and Dejan Tetek.
Highlighted Player (Robbie Brady):
Robbie Brady is an Irish footballer who plays for Norwich City as a winger, but he is capable of playing at left back as well. Brady began his youth career at St. Kevin’s Boys, where he was spotted by Manchester United scouts. In 2008 he joined the Old Trafford outfit at age 16.
He played for Manchester United U-18 team, but he did not make his debut for the senior team. The Irish footballer played for Hull City on loan in the 2011/2012 and the 2012/2013 Championship campaigns and in January, 2013 he signed a permanent deal with the Tigers for an undisclosed fee. Robbie Brady made his Republic of Ireland debut on 8 September, 2012, in a 4-1 win over Oman and it has to be noted that he scored one goal and provided two assists for his teammates in the victory over the Asian team.
He represented the Boys in Green at the 2016 European Championship finals and he scored the winner against Italy that helped the team make it to the knockout stages of the showpiece tournament.

Reading FC is a professional football club that play in the Championship. The club was formed in 1871 and Madejski Stadium has been the home of Reading since 1998. The Royals used to play their home games at Elm Park in the past (1896 - 1998). Reading made it to the FA Cup semi-finals on two occasions (1927, 2015), but they have yet to win the prestigious trophy.
The likes of Robin Friday, Trevor Senior, Steve Death, Shaka Hislop, Phil Parkinson, Alf Messer, Jimmy Quinn, Michael Gilkes, Ronnie Blackman, Pavel Pogrebnyak and Martin Hicks are some of their more notable footballers. Aldershot Town were considered Reading’s fiercest rivals, but the Shots went out of business in 1992.
Seeing that Aldershot rejoined the league in 2008 it remains to be seen if the rivalry is going to be re-established in near future. Swindon Town and Oxford United are considered Reading’s big rivals as well.
