Our prediction for this Serie B match:
Following a 1-1 draw with Brescia, Sampdoria will look to return to winning ways in the Serie B when they take on Reggiana on Saturday afternoon. Le Rondinelle have been involved in some low-scoring games of late and it has to be noted that there have been under 2.5 goals in each of their last five league matches. Rolando Maran should have a full squad to choose from for Reggiana.
I Granata, on the other hand, are eager to put an end to their three-game winless run in the Italian second tier. As under 2.5 goals have been netted in each of Reggiana’s last four league games as well, we are unlikely to see goals galore at Stadio Mario Rigamonti this weekend. As for the visiting team, midfielder Antonio Vergara remains in the recovery room, while Domen Crnigoj faces race against the clock to bet fit for Saturday’s encounter.
Highlighted Team (Brescia):
Hosting their rivals at Stadio Mario Rigamonti, the stadium with the capacity of 16,743, Brescia are Italian team founded back in 1911 under the name of Brescia Football Club. Le Rondinelle are well known for their blue and white shirts, but white is dominant colour in their away kit.
Atalanta are considered one of the club’s fiercest rivals, with the two teams facing each other in the Derby of Lombardy. The Stadio Mario Rigamonti outfit have rivalries with the likes of Inter, Hellas Verona and Cremonese as well. Roberto Baggio, who has 56 caps with the Italy national football team, is considered the most famous footballer who played for Brescia.
Robi scored 45 goals in 95 appearances in the Serie A for le Rondinelle. It has to be noted that the likes of Andrea Pirlo, Gheorge Hagi, Pep Guardiola, Luca Toni, Luigi Di Biagio and Dario Hubner were part of Brescia in the past as well. However, Mario Rigamonti is the club’s biggest legend as he died in the Superga air disaster back in 1949.
