Our prediction for this KNVB Cup match:
De Kuip will be the centre of attention when Feyenoord and Groningen take on each other in the KNVB Beker semis on Thursday evening. The Rotterdammers aim to build on a hard-fought 2-0 win over Almere City and their fine form in the Eredivisie is surely giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of the Dutch Cup showdown. The good news for the hosts is that Iran forward Alireza Jahanbakhsh has overcome his injury, while all Bijlow, Trauner, Zechiel, and van den Belt remain in the recovery room.
The visitors, on the other hand, set up a meeting with Feyenoord by beating Fortuna Sittard on penalties, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry in Rotterdam. As Feyenoord have turned their De Kuip into a real fortress, we predict that the visitors are going to return home with their hands empty. There are no fresh injury worries in the visiting team.

Volendam are considered the club’s fiercest rivals, but they have a rivalry with Twente as well after the 1980s incidents between their fans.
