Our prediction for this Europa Conference League match:
Alphamega Stadium will host Thursday’s football game between Paphos and CFR Cluj. Paphos need a big win in the return leg if they are to make it to the Conference League group stages, but that is easier said than done. Barring any fresh injury worries, Juan Carcedo is unlikely to make changes to the team that faced CFR Cluj in Romania. The visitors, on the other hand, are likely to adopt a defence-minded approach in the second leg in order to defend their slim lead.
Paphos, though, have been impressive at home ground in the Europa Conference League qualifiers, which is probably the main reason why home win should be considered. To make things even better for the home side, Cluj winger Ciprian Deac is banned for the match following his sending-off in the first leg. There are no new injury concerns in the visiting team.
