Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Le Havre will look to make amends for back-to-back defeats to Toulouse and Monaco when they take on Lille in the Ligue 1 round 6. Le Havre suffered a dip in form and it is no wonder the bookies see them as underdogs in Saturday’s clash. Midfielders Andy Logbo and Yoni Gomis should be the only absentees in the home team. Les Dogues, on the other hand, dropped two points in a 3-3 draw with Strasbourg.
Lille, though, were not in action in the Champions League in midweek, meaning that tired legs should not prove to be a big problem for them this time out. In their last meeting at Stade Oceane Lille defeated Le Havre 2-0 and we predict that history is going to repeat itself. A man to watch in the away team will be Kosovo winger Edon Zhegrova, who scored a brace against Le Racing. There are no fresh injury worries in the away team.
Highlighted Player (Benjamin André):
Benjamin Andre is a French footballer, who began his career at Stade Raphaelois youth team. At the age of 16 Andre moved to Ajaccio and he played for the first team from 2008 to 2014. His deal with the Roazhon Park outfit should expire on June 30, 2022.
Benjamin Andre, who was born in Nice on August 3, 1990, has seven caps for France U21 team. The Rennes footballer plays as a central midfielder, but he is often used as both left and right midfielder.
Highlighted Team (Lille):
Lille have been playing an important role in French football ever since they were founded in 1944. Les Dogues won their first domestic trophy in the 1945/1946 season.
Lille did well to win their second Ligue 1 title in 1954 and 57 years later they lifted their last domestic title. Les Douges finished the 2010/2011 season in top position in the standings, eight points clear of second-placed Olympique Marseille and it has to be noted that Lille attacker Moussa Sow won the Golden Boot (25 goals).
Lille are one of the two teams that managed to win three consecutive Coupe de France trophies (1946, 1947, 1948), but they have yet to clinch the Coupe de la Ligue title. Les Dogues faced PSG in the 2015/2016 Coupe de la Ligue trophy, but les Parisiens proved to be a big catch for Frederic Antonetti’s team in the title game.
Lille play their home matches at Stade Pierre-Mauroy and the capacity of the stadium is 50.186. The venue was opened in August, 2017 and the construction cost €282 million.
