Our prediction for this FA Cup match:
Brentford will be aiming to seal their spot in the FA Cup round 4 when they welcome Plymouth to their Brentford Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Bees aim to build on a thrilling 5-0 win over Southampton and they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play. Germany midfielder Vitaly Janelt is widely expected to return to the starting eleven, while all Carvalho, Mee, Rodrigues, Pinnock, Ajer, Gomes, Dasilva, Henry, and Hickey remain in the recovery room.
The Pilgrims, on the other hand, have been showing signs of improvement under caretaker manager Kevin Nancekivell, with the team sharing the spoils with both Bristol City and Stoke City in the last two league matches. The Championship side, though, have been struggling on the travels this term and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Brentford’s party in London. Midfielder Callum Wright is back from suspension for the visiting team.
Highlighted Team (Brentford):
Based in London, Brentford compete in the Championship and they were founded in 1898. Griffin Park has been the home ground of the club since 1904 and the capacity of the venue is 12,300.
The Bees have yet to play in the Premier League and it has to be noted that they made it to the FA Cup sixth round on four occasions (1937/1938, 1945/1946,1948/1949, 1988/1989). Brentford played in the League Cup round 4 in the 1982/1983 and 2010/2011 season and that is the club’s biggest success in the competition.
Brentford’s main rivals are Fulham and Queens Park Rangers and they take on each other in the West London Derby. The rivalry with the Cottagers is probably the biggest and you should bear in mind that the clashes between the two teams have their history of crowd violence. The colour of Brentford’s shirts is red and white and they wear black shorts.
