Cameroon
Cameroon will look to keep their 100% at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations when they take on Cape Verde at Stade d’Olembe on Monday afternoon. The Indomitable Lions are one point away from clinching top position in Group A, and they are likely to adopt a cautious approach in the last group game. Vincent Aboubakar, who has been scoring goals for fun at the showpiece tournament, will be the man to watch in the home team.
Head coach Toni Conceicao should have a full squad to choose from. Cape Verde, on the other hand, aim to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to Burkina Faso. Since the Blue Sharks should be happy with one point from Monday’s clash as well, we are tempted to put our money on draw. Julio Tavares is a major doubt, and he will be assessed ahead of the kick-off.

Garry Rodriguez is a Cape Verde international who was born in Rotterdam on November 27, 1990. Rodrigues started his youth career at his hometown club Feyenoord and in 2007 he moved to Real SC. The pacey winger made his senior debut as a XerxesDZB player during the 2009/2010 season and after scoring two goals in 15 appearances in the league, he left the club in 2011.
The Cape Verde footballer played for the likes of Rostocker, Boshuizen, Den Haag, Dordrecht, Levski Sofia, Elche and PAOK before joining Galatasaray in 2017. Rodrigues quickly established himself as a first team regular at Gala and he played an important role in Fatih Terim’s team that won the Turkish Super Lig in the 2017/2018 season.
Speaking of his international career, Garry Rodrigues made his debut for Cape Verde national team in August, 2013 against Gabon. The Galatasaray winger represented Cape Verde at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.

Cameroon are an African team that played their first ever game against Belgian Congo back in 1956. The Indomitable Lions made 7 appearances at the World Cup finals and they recorded their best result at the major tournament in 1990. Cameroon made it to the 1990 World Cup quarter-finals by beating Colombia in the last 16, but England proved to be a big catch for the African team.
