A spot in the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finals will be at stake when Egypt and D.R. Congo take on each other at Stade Laurent Pokou on Sunday evening. The Egyptians have drawn each of their three group games and they face yet another tough challenge this weekend as key player Mohamed Salah has yet to overcome his injury. Trabzonspor midfielder Trezeguet is pushing for a start after scoring as a substitute in a 1-1 draw with Cape Verde.
The Leopards, on the other hand, shared the spoils with the likes of Zambia, Morocco, and Tanzania in Group F to set up a meeting with Egypt. Yet another close encounter is on the cards and, taking everything into account, we predict that the winner will be decided after extra-time or penalties. D.R. Congo midfielder Gael Kakuta limped off with injury in the last group game, with Omenuke Mfulu likely to replace him in the starting XI. Galatasaray ace Cedric Bakambu is pushing for a start as well.
