Our prediction for this Belgium Pro League match:
Club Brugge will look to stay in the title race when they take on Charleroi at their Jan Breydel Stadion on Sunday. The title holders are 12 points behind league leaders Royale Union SG, meaning that this has to go down as yet another must-win game for the reigning champions. Even though both Lang and Balanta are banned for the hosts, we believe that home win should be considered as Club Brugge are catching the last train.
The Black and Whites, on the other hand, aim to build on back-to-back wins over St. Truiden and Seraing. Charleroi have been impressive at the back of late, but preventing Club Brugge from scoring at home ground is easier said than done. Goalkeeper Koffi is back from international duty, while both Willems and Tschiend are sidelined with injuries. In the first half of the season Club Brugge defeated Charleroi thanks to de Ketelaere’s goal in the stoppage time.
