Our prediction for this Belgium Pro League match:
Mechelen will be looking to bounce back from a 2-1 loss to Antwerp when they face La Louviere on Saturday afternoon. The start of the season has been a mixed bag for Mechelen, but it seems as if they will not have a better chance than this to get back on course in the Jupiler League. There are no fresh injury concerns in the home team, with Kiki remaining in the recovery room.
The newcomers, on the other hand, did well to hold reigning champions St Gilloise to a goalless draw at the weekend. La Louviere, though, are not regarded as good travellers and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Mechelen’s party at AFAS-stadion Achter de Kazerne. Even though Frederic Taquin has no fresh selection worries, summer signing Jerry Afriyie is expected to make his full Jupiler League debut after coming as a substitute in the last league match.
