Our prediction for this Belgium Pro League match:
Buoyed by a 4-2 win over Kortrijk, St. Truiden will look to give fans yet another reason to celebrate when they take on Beerschot VA on Friday evening. St. Truiden managed to put an end to their six-game winless run and, no doubt, the weekend triumph gave them a confidence boost. There are no fresh injury worries in the home team, but both Isaias Delpupo and Shogo Taniguchi remain doubtful.
The Violets, on the other hand, aim to build on a hard-fought 1-0 win over Mechelen. Beerschot VA, though, are not regarded as good travellers, which is probably the main reason why home win should be considered. It has to be noted that Dirk Kuyt’s men have collected only one point in total from the last eight away games. Adding to Beerschot’s woes, first-choice goalkeeper Nick Shinton misses the match through suspension.
