Our prediction for this Bundesliga 2 match:
After sharing the spoils with Darmstadt at the weekend, Hamburger SV will look to return to winning ways in the 2. Bundesliga when they take on Nurnberg on Matchday 23. Die Rothosen are only four points behind the league leaders, with the team eyeing their fifth consecutive win on home soil. Both Moritz Heyer and Mario Vuskovic are banned for the match, while all Xavier Amaechi, Tom Mickel, Anssi Suhonen, and Elijah Krahn are sidelined with injuries.
The Bavarians, on the other hand, aim to build on a hard-fought 1-0 win over Sandhausen, but given their four-game winless run on the road, we are tempted to put our money on Tim Walter’s troops. Enrico Valentini is banned for the match, while all Lukas Schleimer, Jannes-Killian Horn, James Lawrence, Erik Wekesser, Christian Mathenia, and Tim Handwerker remain in the recovery room. Johannes Geis is widely expected to replace Schleimer in the starting XI.
