Werder Bremen
After rolling over lower-league side Engers 5-0 in their DFB Pokal opener, Eintracht Frankfurt aim to kickstart their Bundesliga in style when they face Werder Bremen at their Deutsche Bank Park. Die Adler continue life without new Liverpool striker Hugo Ekitike and, in his absence, a man to watch in the home team will be summer recruit Jonathan Burkardt, who joined the club from Mainz for a fee of €21.00m. Goalkeeper Kaua and forward Jessic Ngankam are both sidelined with injuries.
Die Werderaner, on the other hand, were struggling in preseason, with the team losing each of their last four warm-up games. Given their under-par performance in the German Cup loss to Arminia Bielefeld, we predict that Eintracht Frankfurt are going to emerge triumphant in Saturday’s clash.
