Our prediction for this Bundesliga match:
Mainz will look to make amends for a 3-1 loss to Union Berlin when they face Arminia Bielefeld in the Bundesliga round 27. Die Nullfunfer have been having their ups and downs of late, with the team sharing the spoils with Freiburg, beating Bayer Leverkusen, while losing to Union Berlin. Mainz, though, have turned their Opel Arena into a real fortress, and, as a result, the bookies see them as favourites to win Saturday’s clash.
Midfielder Dominik Kohr is back from suspension, but Alexandar Hack serves a one-game ban against die Arminien. Bielefeld, on the other hand, are on a three-game losing run in the German top flight. The relegation-threatened visitors are low on spirits ahead of the trip to Mainz, which is the main reason why we are going to put our money on the hosts.
Highlighted Player (Dominik Kohr):
Dominik Kohr is a product of Bayer Leverkusen’s youth school. The German midfielder was born in Tier on 31 January, 1994 and he made eight appearances for the Bundesliga side at senior level. He spent the 2014/2015 season on loan at Augsburg, playing 34 games for the club in the German elite division and his loan was made permanent at the end of the season (18 June, 2015).
He scored his first goal for the club from the penalty spot in a 1-0 win over Wolfsburg. Kohr has four caps for Germany U20 and he played for the U18 and the U19 teams in the past as well. Dominik Kohr is a central midfielder, but he is capable of playing as a defensive midfielder and a centre back as well.
He has a contract with Augsburg which expires on 30 June, 2019. Kohr played 26 games for Augsburg in the 2015/2016 Bundesliga campaign.
Highlighted Team (Arminia Bielefeld):
Arminia Bielefeld is a German club founded on May 3, 1905. Die Arminen play home games at Bielefelder Alm. The venue was built in 1926, and it can hold up to 26,515 spectators. Arminia Bielefeld have yet to win the Bundesliga trophy, but they did well to lift the West German Cup title on two occasions (1966, 1974).
Back in 1922 they won the Western German football championship, with the team repeating the success the following year. Arminia Bielefeld wear dark blue shirts when playing at home ground, while white is the dominant colour of their away jersey. In the 2019/20 season Arminia returned to the Bundesliga, where they undisputedly belong.
Bruno Labbadia is considered one of the most famous footballers who played for the club. The ex Bayern Munchen attacker scored 50 goals in 98 appearances in the league for Arminia Bielefeld. Labbadia has two caps for the German national team, and six for the West Germany U21.
