Our prediction for this Bundesliga match:
All eyes will be on Borussia-Park when Borussia M’gladbach and Leipzig square off against each other in the Bundesliga round 32. Die Fohlen are stuck in the middle of the table, and, as a result, they head into the season finale with the lack of motivation. Considering that Borussia have been struggling at the back of late, home win should not be considered. All Bensebaini, Plea, Benes, Ginter, and Thuram are out of contention with injuries.
The Red Bulls, on the other hand, suffered an unexpected 2-1 loss to Union Berlin at the weekend, but despite the defeat they are still sitting in the Champions League berth. Anyhow, Leipzig want this win more than Borussia M’gladbach, and we predict that the visitors will prove their worth on the field. Lukas Klostermann is a major doubt following his recent positive test for COVID-19, while Amadou Haidara remains in the recovery room.
Highlighted Player (Christoph Kramer):
Christoph Kramer is a German midfielder born in Solingen on 19 February 1991, and he is most famous for helping Germany lift the 2014 World Cup trophy. The defensive midfielder came to prominence after signing for Bayer Leverkusen, but it was the loan spells with VFL Bochum and Borussia M’gladbach that seriously aided his development.
Kramer received a surprise call up to Joachim Low’s World Cup squad, and he made a total of three appearances in Brazil, even starting the final against Argentina. The midfielder, however, suffered a concussion just after the half hour mark and he later confessed that he couldn’t remember anything from the most important game in his career.
Kramer remained a member of the Germany national team, making three appearances in the Euro 2016 qualifiers, and there is plenty of time for him to represent the country at another major tournament, playing a more important role than the one he had at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Highlighted Team (Leipzig):
Leipzig are a professional football club founded in 2009. Die Bullen (The Bulls) were unbeaten in the 2012/2013 Regionalliga Nordost and, as a result, they secured promotion to the 3. Liga. After finishing the 2013/2014 as 3rd. Liga campaign in second place in the standings, Leipzig were promoted to the 2. Bundesliga and they competed in the German second tier for two seasons.
Despite suffering a loss to Karlsruher on the last day of the 2015/2016 round in the 2. Bundesliga campaign, die Bullen secured promotion to the Bundesliga for the first time ever. Leipzig play their home games at Red Bull Arena (42,959) and it has to be noted that the stadium was opened in 1954.
Die Bullen wear white shirts and red shorts while their away kit is blue and yellow. Ralph Hasenhuttl was appointed as the team’s manager at the end of the 2015/2016 season and you should know that the likes of Ralf Rangnick, Achim Beierlorzer, Alexander Zorniger, Peter Pacult, Tomas Oral and Tino Vogel were in charge of the team in the past as well.
