Our prediction for this Bundesliga match:
Following a goalless draw with Leipzig, Union Berlin will look to record their first win of the season when they take on Hoffenheim on Matchday 4. The capital club have been impressive at the back of late and they are likely to rely on their rock-solid defence in Saturday’s encounter. There are no fresh injury worries in the home team, but all Kevin Volland, Yannic Stein, and Josip Juranovic remain in the recovery room.
Meanwhile, Hoffenheim suffered a dip in form, with the team losing to both Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer Leverkusen in the previous two league fixtures. As Union Berlin made a promising start to the season, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the home side. To make things even worse for the away team, all Andrej Kramaric, Adam Hlozek, Grischa Promel, Ihlas Bebou, David Jurasek, Finn Ole Becker, and Ozan Kabak remain on the sidelines with injuries.
Highlighted Player (Pavel Kaderabek):
Pavel Kaderabek is a Czech Republic defender born on 25 April 1992, who has enjoyed a bright start to his professional career. Coming through the youth ranks at Sparta Prague and gaining some first team experience during a loan spell with Viktoria Zizkov, the right-sided defender was finally able to show what he is capable of during the 2012/2013 season and he didn’t need a lot of time to make the next step in his career.
After scoring impressive 10 goals in 76 league appearances for Sparta Prague, Kaderabek joined Bundesliga side Hoffenheim in the summer of 2015, shortly after he had established himself as a starting right-back in the Czech Republic national team.
The talented footballer helped Repre make it to the Euro 2016 finals by starting 9 qualifying matches, once again proving his killer instinct by scoring two goals. Pavel Kaderabek looks set to become one of leading players of the new generation and a big club move may not be far away either.
Highlighted Team (Union Berlin):
Union Berlin are a German football club originally founded back in 1906. Die Eisernen play home games at Stadion An der Alten Forsterei which can hold up to 22,012 spectators. Union Berlin’s home kit is red, with the team wearing white shirts and white shorts on the travels.
Union Berlin finished the 1923 domestic campaign as runners-up, with the team suffering a 3-0 loss to Hamburger SV in the title game. Speaking of the club’s biggest success in the German Cup, die Eisernen made it to the final of the competition in the 2000/2001 season. Schalke, though, proved to be a big catch for Union Berlin in the decider, with Jorg Bohme scoring a brace for die Knappen (2-0).
Union Berlin will face their local rivals Hertha in the 2019/2020 Bundesliga season as they secured promotion to the German top flight, but Hansa Rostock are considered the club’s main rivals.
