Our prediction for this Championship match:
Norwich City will try to melt Sheffield United’s advantage in the Championship table when they face Blackpool on Matchday 12. The Canaries are eyeing their third consecutive win on the road, but this game will be anything but a walk in the park for Teemu Pukki and Co. The likes of Jon Rowe, Liam Gibbs, Sam McCallum, Jakob Sorensen, Isaac Hayden, and Dimitris Giannoulis remain on the sidelines with injuries for the away team.
The Seasiders, on the other hand, have been struggling at the back of late, with the team conceding five goals in total in the last two league fixtures. Given Norwich’s form in September, we believe that punters from all four corners of the world can find value in betting on the promotion-chasing visitors. The likes of Kevin Stewart, Lewis Fiorini, Keshi Anderson, and Jake Beesley are out of contention through injuries for the home team.
Highlighted Player (Chris Maxwell):
Chris Maxwell is a Welsh goalkeeper who was born in St Asaph on July 30, 1990. Maxwell began his youth career at Penrhyn Bay (1998-2000) and in 2000 he moved to Wrexham. The 188-cm-tall shoot-stopper made his first-team debut for Wrexham at the age of 18 and he played 76 league games for the club from 2008 to 2012.
During the 2008/2009 season he spent six months on loan at Welsh club Connah’s Quay Nomads and in 2012 he joined Fleetwood Town. Chris Maxwell made 110 appearances in the league for the Trawlermen and on May 16, 2016 he signed a three-year deal with Championship side Preston North End. You should know that he managed to keep clean sheets in 38 appearances for the Lilywhites in the 2016/2017 Championship campaign.
Due to his dual citizenship, Maxwell is capable of representing both Wales and Scotland at senior level, but he played for the Dragons at youth level, being capped for the U21 team 16 times.
Highlighted Team (Norwich):
After spending only one season in the Premier League, Norwich City dropped to the Championship at the end of the 2015/2016 campaign. Norwich City are located in Norwich, Norfolk and they welcome their rivals at Carrow Road.
The stadium was built and opened in 1935 and the capacity of the venues is 27,137 (all-seater). However the stadium’s record attendance is 43,984. The Canaries have won two League Cup trophies (1973, 1975) and their main rivals are Ipswich Town. The two teams have been facing each other in the East Anglian Derby since 1902.
The colour of Norwich City’s home kit is yellow and green and that is the main reason why they are known as the Canaries. The likes of Kevin Keeland, Ian Culverhouse, Steve Bruce, Duncan Forbes, Mark Bowen, Darren Huckerby, Ian Crook, Martin Peters, Darren Eadier, Chris Sutton and Iwan Roberts are notable footballers who played for the Carrow Road outfit in the past.
