Our prediction for this Championship match:
Ashton Gate Stadium will host Monday’s football game between Bristol City and Middlesbrough. The Robins aim to build on a 2-1 win over Stoke City, but they will have big fish to fry against the promotion-chasing side. Bristol City have slim playoffs chances, but seeing that the hopes dies last, we are positive that they will go all guns blazing at the Boro. Mark Sykes remains on the sidelines through suspension, while Omar Taylor-Clarke limped off with injury on Friday afternoon. Andy King is widely expected to replace him in the starting XI.
The visitors, on the other hand, aim to make amends for back-to-back losses to Huddersfield and Burnley. Since Middlesbrough should be happy with one point from the match, we believe that punters from all around the world can find value in betting on draw. Matt Clarke should be the only absentee in the visiting team, with Dael Fry pushing for a recall to the starting XI.
Highlighted Player (Nahki Wells):
Born on June 1, 1990 in Hamilton, Bermuda, Nahki Wells is a 170-cm-tall attacker who plays for the Bermuda national team. Wells is a product of Dandy Town Hornets youth academy and he continued playing for the Bermudan side at senior level.
The experienced striker played for the likes of Bermuda Hogges, Eccleshill United and Carlisle United before joining Bradford City in 2011. After spending three seasons at Valley Parade, Nahki Wells signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with Huddersfield Town in the winter of 2014. In 2017 he moved to Burnley, but he played for Queens Park Rangers as a loan footballer in the 2018/2019 season.
Speaking of his international career, Wells made his debut for the Bermuda national team in 2007. He scored his first ever goal for Bermuda in the 2014 World Cup qualifier against Trinidad and Tobago. The Burnley man will represent the Gombey Warriors at the 2019 Gold Cup.
Highlighted Team (Middlesbrough):
Middlesbrough is a professional football club that have been balancing between the top two divisions of England’s league system in the modern history. Boro have been playing their home games at the Riverside Stadium since 1995 and their shirt colour is red. The capacity of the Riverside Stadium is 34,742. Middlesbrough impressed in the 2015/2016 Championship campaign and they did really well to secure promotion to the English top flight. Newcastle United and Sunderland are regarded as the club’s main rivals, but there is a rivalry with Leeds United as well.
Middlesbrough made it to the FA Cup final in 1997, but Chelsea proved to be a big catch for the Boro in the title game (0-2). However, the Riverside Stadium outfit did remarkably well to win the League Cup trophy in 2004, with the team beating Bolton Wanderers in the final. George Boateng, Stewart Downing, Juninho Paulista, Gareth Southgate, Jonathan Woodgate, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Tuncay Sanli and Hamilton Ricard are the star footballers who left their mark at Middlesbrough.
