Our prediction for this Championship match:
Buoyed by the FA Cup triumph over Ipswich Town, Burnley will look to cement top position in the standings when they face Preston on Matchday 31. The Clarets are leading the chase for automatic promotion, with the team eyeing their tenth consecutive league win, but boss Vincent Kompany must warn his men against complacency. Keep in mind that Jay Rodriguez has joined the likes of Benson Manuel, Arijanet Muric, and Taylor Harwood-Bellis in the recovery room.
Meanwhile, the Lilywhites suffered a 2-1 loss to Bristol City at the weekend, and given their shaky defence, we predict that the league leaders are going to pick up all three points from Saturday’s clash. Midfielder Ben Whiteman and forward Emil Riis Jakobsen should be the only absentees in the away team. In the first half of the season the two sides played out a 1-1 draw at Deepdale.
Highlighted Player (Bailey Peacock-Farrell):

Despite being born in Darlington, England on October 29, 1996, Bailey Peacock-Farrell represents Northern Ireland at senior level. The Northern Ireland international started his youth career at Middlesbrough, but in 2013 he joined Leeds United. The talented goalkeeper continued playing for Leeds United senior team and, no doubt, there is a bright future ahead of him.
Bailey Peacock-Farrell made his first-team debut for the Whites on April 5, 2016 in a home game against Queens Park Rangers. The two played out a 1-1 draw at Elland Road and it has to be noted that the goalkeeper conceded a penalty kick in the 87th minute of the match. The 192-cm tall shot-stopper has a contract with Leeds United which should expire on June, 2020.
As previously mentioned, the Leeds United goalkeeper represents Northern Ireland on the international stage, qualifying for the national team thanks to his grandfather Jim Farreell, who was born in Enniskillen.
Highlighted Team (Preston):

Preston North End or Preston were founded in 1880. The Lilywhites or the Invincibles play their home games at Deepdale, the stadium that was built in 1875 and opened three years later.
In 1889 Preston won their first FA Cup trophy and they did well to beat Huddersfield Town in the final of the 1938 FA Cup final. However, the club’s biggest success came in 1889 and 1890 when they won back-to-back domestic trophies (First Division).
Preston have yet to win the League Cup title, but they were runners-up in 1888, 1922, 1937, 1954, 1964. Preston’s main rivals are Blackpool and the two teams square off against each other in the West Lancashire derby. In their first ever meeting in the West Lancashire derby (1901) Preston recorded a 4-1 win over Blackpool.
Burnley and Blackburn Rovers are considered Preston’s big rivals as well. The colour of Preston’s shirts is white and they wear dark blue shorts.
