Our prediction for this Championship match:
John Smith’s Stadium will host Tuesday’s football game between Huddersfield and Bristol City, the two teams who were beaten by Coventry and Cardiff respectively at the weekend. The Terriers are stuck at the bottom of the table, and given their shaky defence, home win should not be considered. It has to be noted that the rock-bottom side conceded eight goals in total in the previous two league fixtures. Jaheim Headley misses out for the hosts after suffering a hamstring injury in the 4-0 loss to Coventry City, while Ben Jackson should be recalled to the starting XI.
The Robins, on the other hand, aim to bounce back from a 2-0 loss to Cardiff City, and we predict that they will take advantage of the current atmosphere in Huddersfield’s dressing room. Both Joe Williams and Tomas Kalas are injured for the visiting side, with Jay Dasilva pushing for a start.
Highlighted Player (Danny Ward):
Daniel Ward is a goalkeeper who was born on 22 June, 1993 in Wrexham, Wales. The 191-cm-tall shoot-stopper is a product of Wrexham Academy, but he did not make his senior debut for the club. After spending the 2010/2011 season at Tamworth, Danny Ward returned to Wrexham and on 30 January, 2012 he joined Liverpool for a fee of £100,000.
He made just two league appearances for the Anfield outfit and in 2015 he signed a loan deal with Morecambe. On 23 June he signed a new five-year deal with Liverpool, but he was soon sent on loan to Aberdeen. He played 21 games for the Scottish outfit and on 11 July, 2016 he signed a season-long deal with Championship team Huddersfield Town.
Danny Ward has 4 caps for Wales U21 team and he made his senior debut for the Dragons in a friendly against Northern Ireland on 24 March, 2016. Ward represented his homeland at the 2016 European Championship finals in France as he started the game against Slovakia.
Highlighted Team (Bristol City):
Bristol City are one of the two famous clubs from the city of Bristol. Formed in 1894 the Robins mostly participated in English lower leagues and they have never played in the Premier League. Bristol City’s bitterest rivals are Bristol Rovers and it has to be noted that two teams first met in 1897. Bristol City have outplayed their local rivals on 43 occasions in the Bristol Derby.
Cardiff City are regarded as Bristol City’s bitter rivals as well. The Robins play their home games at Ashton Gate, the stadium that was opened in 1887. Bristol City were semi-finalists of the League Cup two times (1970/1971, 1988/1989), with the team making it to the FA Cup final in 1909.
The Robins faced Manchester United in the title game, but they failed to upset the English giants in the Crystal Palace clash. It is well known that Bristol City footballers wear red shirts and blue shorts.
