Our prediction for this Championship match:
Luton Town and Bristol City take on each other at Kenilworth Road on Boxing Day. The Hatters have been having their ups and downs of late, with the team losing to Cardiff City, beating Blackpool, while sharing the spoils with Fulham. Luton aim to move closer to the Championship playoffs berth, and they are likely to go all guns blazing at the Robins. Midfielder Luke Berry should be the only absentee in the home team.
Bristol City, on the other hand, suffered a 3-2 loss to Huddersfield Town in their last league match. The Robins have been struggling at the back of late, which is probably the main reason why we are tempted to put our money on the Hatters this time out. All Joe Williams, Andy King, and Robbie Cundy are out of contention with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the away team.
Highlighted Player (Allan Campbell):
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, on July 4, 1998, Allan Campbell is a Scottish footballer who plays for Motherwell. Campbell has been playing for the Steelmen since 2008 when he was a part of the Motherwell youth team.
The Scottish midfielder made his Premier League debut on October 29, 2016, in a 4-1 win over Ross County, and he scored his first goal in the Scottish top flight in a 4-2 victory over Inverness on April 15, 2017. Allan Campbell has 19 caps for the Scotland U21 team, but he has yet to receive a call-up for the Scotland senior team. His primary position is a defensive midfielder, but he is used as a central midfielder as well.
The Scottish footballer wears the number 6 shirt at Motherwell. In his youth days, Allan Campbell attended All Saints Roman Catholic Secondary School in Glasgow. He joined Motherwell football academy at the age of 10.
Highlighted Team (Bristol City):
Bristol City are one of the two famous clubs from the city of Bristol. Formed in 1894 the Robins mostly participated in English lower leagues and they have never played in the Premier League. Bristol City’s bitterest rivals are Bristol Rovers and it has to be noted that two teams first met in 1897. Bristol City have outplayed their local rivals on 43 occasions in the Bristol Derby.
Cardiff City are regarded as Bristol City’s bitter rivals as well. The Robins play their home games at Ashton Gate, the stadium that was opened in 1887. Bristol City were semi-finalists of the League Cup two times (1970/1971, 1988/1989), with the team making it to the FA Cup final in 1909.
The Robins faced Manchester United in the title game, but they failed to upset the English giants in the Crystal Palace clash. It is well known that Bristol City footballers wear red shirts and blue shorts.
