Our prediction for this Championship match:
Norwich City and Huddersfield Town go head to head at Carrow Road in the Championship round 40. The Canaries are on the right track to secure automatic promotion to the Premier League, but they can’t afford any complacency in the season finale. Despite failing to find the net in the 1-1 draw with Preston, top scorer Teemu Pukki is widely expected to lead the line for the league leaders. All Buendia, Ginannoulis, and Aarons are rated doubtful for the game.
The Terriers, on the other hand, are undefeated in the previous five games in the Championship, but Norwich City are likely to pose a much bigger threat for the bottom-table side than their previous rivals. All Aarons, Eiting, Vallejo, Koroma, Elphick, and Toffolo are out of contention with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the away team ahead of Monday’s game.
Highlighted Player (Grant Hanley):
Grant Hanley is Scottish footballer who plays for Norwich City as defender. Hanley was born in Dumfries, Scotland, on November 20, 1991 and he started his youth career at Queen of the South. After ending his spells with Crewe Alexandra and Rangers, the Scottish player joined English club Blackburn Rovers, where he started his senior career.
After scoring eight goals in 183 appearances for the Riversiders in league matches, he moved to fellow English club Newcastle United in July, 2016 for an undisclosed fee. Grant Hanley, though, made no more than 10 appearances for Newcastle United in the Championship before joining Norwich City. The 191-cm-tall defender made his full international debut for Scotland against Wales on in May, 2011.
He scored his first goal for the Scotland national football team in a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Wales. His contract with Norwich City should expire on June 30, 2021.
Highlighted Team (Huddersfield):
Back in 1926 Huddersfield Town became the first English club to win three straight domestic trophies. Since 1908 the Terriers were playing at Leeds Road, but in 1994 John Smith’s Stadium became home of Huddersfield Town. The club play in the English second tier (Championship) and the colour of the their home kit is blue and white (stripes).
Huddersfield Town were founded in 1910 and just three years later they entered the Football League. In 1926 the Terriers won their last domestic trophy, but they did well finishing runners up in the FA Cup 1920. The club’s biggest rivals are Leeds United and it has to be noted that Huddersfield Town have better head-to-head record of the two teams.
Bradford City are considered Huddersfield’s local rivals as well, but there are small rivalries with Barnsley, Halifax Town, Manchester City and Oldham Athletic. The club’s chairman is Dean Hoyle.
