Our prediction for this Championship match:
Tuesday’s postponed game at Deepdale pits together Preston and Blackpool, the two mid-table sides. Preston aim to make amends for back-to-back losses to Luton (0-4) and Derby (0-1), and they are likely to go all guns blazing at the Seasiders. Liam Lindsay is banned for the match, while all Greg Cunningham, Isaiah Brown, Tom Barkhuizen, and Ched Evans are likely to miss the game with injuries.
Blackpool, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 4-1 loss to Nottingham Forest, with the team remaining in the middle of the table. Since both sides will go for a win in the midweek game, both teams to score betting option should be considered. As for the visiting side, all Grant Ward, Dujon Sterling, and Jordan Lawrence-Gabriel are out of contention with injuries, while both Luke Garbutt and Matthew Virtue are major doubts.
Highlighted Player (Scott Sinclair):
At the age of nine, Scott Sinclair joined Bristol Rovers youth school and seven years later he signed a deal with Chelsea. However, the winger played no more than five league games for Chelsea as he spent a big part of his career on loan at Plymouth, QPR, Charlton, Crystal Palace, Birmingham City, Wigan Athletic, WBA and Aston Villa. He played for Swansea City between 2010 and 2012, scoring 28 goals in 82 league appearances for the Welsh outfit.
On 19 May, 2015 Sinclair signed a permanent deal with Aston Villa, but he failed to impress in the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign. He scored only two goals in 21 league appearances for the team and the Villans eventually dropped to the Championship.
The Aston Villa winger, who is capable of playing on both sides of the field, has 7 caps for England U21 and it has to be noted that he made 4 appearances for Great Britain, scoring one goal for Team GB. Scott Sinclair was born in Bath, England on 25 March, 1989.
Highlighted Team (Blackpool):
Blackpool FC are a professional English club based in Blackpool, Lancashire. Considering that Blackpool is a seaside town, it is no surprise they are nicknamed the Seasiders. Founded back in 1887, the club play their home matches at Bloomfield Road, which can hold up to 17,338 spectators. In the 2009/2010 season Blackpool secured promotion to the Premier League, but they were not competitive at this level, suffering relegation to the Championship the following season.
The club’s biggest success, though, came in 1953 when they defeated Bolton Wanderers 4-3 in the FA Cup final. Blackpool are well known for their orange shirts, but the dominant colour of their away kit is white. Preston are considered the club’s biggest rivals, with the two teams facing each other in the West Lancashire derby.
Charlie Adam, who played for Liverpool and has 26 caps for Scotland national team, is regarded as one of the club’s most notable players.
