Our prediction for this Championship match:
All eyes will be on Bramall Lane when Sheffield United and Middlesbrough square off against each other in a postponed Championship game. The Blades played out a 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest at the weekend, with the team dropping out of the playoffs berth. Sheffield United are eager to regain their spot in top six, and they are likely to fight tooth and nail against Middlesbrough.
All David McGoldrick, Jayden Bogle, Jack O’Connell, Rhian Brewster, and George Baldock are out of contention with injuries, while teenager Femi Seriki should keep his place in the starting XI. The Boro, on the other hand, recorded a very important 1-0 win over Luton Town to climb to the playoffs places. Middlesbrough produce much better showings at home than on the travels, which is probably the main reason we are tempted to put our money on draw. Riley McGree is a major doubt, and he will be assessed ahead of the kick-off.
Highlighted Player (Oliver Norwood):
Oliver Norwood is a Reading midfielder who began his youth career at Manchester United. Norwood made his debut for the reserve team against Middlesbrough in November, 2007, but he did not get a chance to play for the first team. After ending his loan spell with Coventry City in 2012, the 180-cm-tall midfielder signed a contract with Huddersfield Town.
Oliver Norwood scored eight goals in 80 league appearances for the club between 2012 and 2014. Later in 2014 he joined Reading for an undisclosed fee and he made his debut for the Royals against Nottingham Forest on 23 August, 2014.
Norwood was born in Burnley, England and he has six caps for England U16 team. He played three games for the U17 team as well, but he then decided to represent Northern Ireland as his heritage is Northern Irish. Norwood made his debut for the Green and White Army on 11 August, 2010, in a 2-0 loss to Montenegro. He replaced Sammy Clingan in the second half of the match.
Highlighted Team (Middlesbrough):
Middlesbrough is a professional football club that have been balancing between the top two divisions of England’s league system in the modern history. Boro have been playing their home games at the Riverside Stadium since 1995 and their shirt colour is red. The capacity of the Riverside Stadium is 34,742. Middlesbrough impressed in the 2015/2016 Championship campaign and they did really well to secure promotion to the English top flight. Newcastle United and Sunderland are regarded as the club’s main rivals, but there is a rivalry with Leeds United as well.
Middlesbrough made it to the FA Cup final in 1997, but Chelsea proved to be a big catch for the Boro in the title game (0-2). However, the Riverside Stadium outfit did remarkably well to win the League Cup trophy in 2004, with the team beating Bolton Wanderers in the final. George Boateng, Stewart Downing, Juninho Paulista, Gareth Southgate, Jonathan Woodgate, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Tuncay Sanli and Hamilton Ricard are the star footballers who left their mark at Middlesbrough.
