Our prediction for this Championship match:
All eyes will be on Bramall Lane when Sheffield United and Sunderland go head to head in the Championship derby on Tuesday. The Blades are eyeing their second home win of the season, and they are surely capable of matching the Black Cats on home soil. All Clark, Robinson, Bogle, O’Connell, Basham, and Davies are out of contention with injuries, while Enda Stevens faces race against clock to be fit for the match.
The Black Cats, on the other hand, have been struggling at the back on their return to the Championship, which is probably the main reason why we are going to put our money on Sheffield United, who have turned their Bramall Lane into a real fortress. Both Leon Dajaku and Daniel Ballard are out of contention through injuries, but they should be the only absentees in the away team.
Highlighted Player (Ben Osborn):
Ben Osborn is an English footballer who plays for Nottingham Forest as a midfielder. Osborn was born in Derby (England) on August 5, 1994 and he started his youth career at his hometown club Derby County. In 2003 he moved to Nottingham Forest and after spending ten years at their football academy Osborn made his first-team debut for the Reds.
He made his debut on March 29, 2014 in a 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town and he has been playing for the City Ground Stadium outfit ever since. Ben Osborn has one cap for England U20 team and he played for England U19 and England U18 teams in the past as well.
It has to be noted that the Nottingham Forest midfielder scored four goals, while providing seven assists for his teammates in the 2016/2017 Championship season. His main position is left midfield, but he is capable of playing as both central and attacking midfielder as well. Ben Osborn’s preferred foot is left.
Highlighted Team (Sunderland):
Sunderland are a professional football club that have been playing their home games at the Stadium of Light since 1997. The capacity of the stadium is 49,000, but before expansion the original ground capacity was 42,000. Red and White shirts are Sunderland’s trademark and the club’s fiercest rivals are Newcastle United. The two local rivals have been contesting in the Tyne-Wear derby since 1898 and there have always been fireworks in what is one of the greatest derbies in English football. Sunderland were on the verge of dropping to the Championship in the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign, but experienced tactician Sam Allardyce eventually helped the team avoid relegation.
The Black Cats have won six First Division trophies (now the Premier League), with the team lifting two FA Cup titles. Sunderland won their first FA Cup trophy in 1937, with the team beating Preston North End 3-1 in the title game. The club was founded in 1879 as Sunderland and District Teachers A.F.C.
