Our prediction for this Championship match:
Saturday’s football game at Bet365 Stadium pits together Stoke City and Birmingham City, the two teams who sit in the middle of the table. The Potters did well to put an end to their three-match losing run, with the team beating Wigan thanks to Josh Tymon’s goal, and, no doubt, the triumph gave them a confidence boost. With no fresh injury worries to report, Alex Neil is unlikely to make changes to the team that defeated the Latics in midweek.
The Blues, on the other hand, have been having their ups and downs of late, with the team losing to Blackburn, beating QPR, while sharing the spoils with Millwall. Birmingham City are not regarded as good travellers, and given Stoke’s display in the midweek triumph, home win should be considered. John Eustace can’t count on the likes of Gary Gardner, Marc Roberts, and Przemyslaw Placheta for Saturday’s clash.
Highlighted Player (Aden Flint):
Born in Pinxton, England on July 11, 1989, Aden Fint began his youth career at his hometown club Pinxton. In 2008 he moved to Alfreton Town and he scored 45 goals in more than 100 appearances for the club.
In 2011 he signed a contract with Swindon Town and, no doubt, that was a step up in his career. The 197-cm-tall defender played 64 games in the league for the Robins and in 2013 he signed for Bristol City for a fee of £300,000. Aden Flint made his debut on August 3, 2013 in a 2-2 draw with Bradford City.
The centre-back scored his first goal for Bristol city on September 21 in a 3-2 loss to his former club Swindon Town. You should know that Flint was named Player of the Year for the 2015/2016 season. The Bristol City footballer has a contract with the club which expires on June 30.
Highlighted Team (Birmingham City):
Birmingham City are a club located in the city of Birmingham, England. Birmingham City were founded in 1875 as Small Heath Alliance, but the club’s named was changed to Small Heath in 1888. 17 years later they became Birmingham and in 1943 they finally changed their name to Birmingham City.
The Blues welcome their rivals at St. Andrew’s, the stadium that was opened in 1906. Birmingham City compete in the Championship and their fiercest rivals are WBA and Aston Villa. The Blues made it to the FA Cup final twice, but they have yet to win the prestigious trophy. In 1931 they were beaten by their local rivals WBA in the title game (1-2), whilst in 1956 they were outplayed by Manchester City in the title game.
The colour of Birmingham’s home kit is blue with white stripe. Trevor Francis, Gil Merrick, Bob Latchford, Jeff Hall, Alex Govan, Joe Bradford and Christophe Dugarry are notable footballers who played for the St. Andrew’s outfit in the past.
