Our prediction for this Championship match:
After holding ten-man Burnley to a goalless draw at Turf Moor, Stoke City will not a have better chance than this to return to winning ways as they play host to struggling Plymouth on Saturday afternoon. The Potters defeated Sunderland thanks to Thomas Cannon’s late goal in their last home game, which is surely giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of the visit of Plymouth.
The Pilgrims, on the other hand, are stuck at the bottom of the table with only 24 points on their account. Wayne Rooney’s troops managed to grab one point from the midweek clash with Bristol City (2-2), but given their dreadful away record in the 2024/2025 Championship campaign, we are tempted to place our bets on Stoke this time out. Callum Wright has yet to serves his ban, while fellow midfielder Joe Edwards remains in the recovery room.
Highlighted Player (Jack Bonham):
Jack Bonham is a professional footballer who was born in Stevenage on the 14th of September, 1993. The 26-year-old, although having born in England, is an Irish International and has featured for the Republic of Ireland's Under-17 team five times.

Bonham then went on to play for clubs like Brentford, Carlisle United and Bristol Rovers before eventually joining Gillingham at the start of the 2019 season on a two-year contract. He's since featured nine times for the club and kept two clean sheets.
Highlighted Team (Plymouth):
Nicknamed the Pilgrims, Plymouth are a professional football club that host their rivals at Home Park. The stadium, which can hold up to 18,600 people, was built in 1892 and opened the following year. Plymouth footballers wear dark green jerseys and white shorts when playing in front of home fans, while light green and white are the dominant colours of their away kit.
The Pilgrims made it to the FA Cup semi-finals in the 1983-84 season, with the team advancing to the Football League Cup semis on two occasions (1964-65, 1973-74). The Pilgrims recorded their biggest win against Millwall on January 16, 1932, with the team beating the Lions 8-1, and they repeated the success in 1994 as they rolled over Hartlepool United in the Second Division.
The club suffered their heaviest defeat against Stoke City (0-9) on December 17, 1960. Fellow Devon teams Exeter City and Torquay United are seen as the club’s fiercest rivals.
