Our prediction for this Championship match:
Following a 1-0 loss to Bristol City, Sunderland will look to get back on course when they face Coventry City in the Championship round 23. The Black Cats have a chance to climb to the playoffs berth, but they will have to prove their worth on the field. Teenage forward Jobe Bellingham is widely expected to return to the starting XI, while all Dennis Cirkin, Timothee Pembele, Jay Matete, and Corry Evans continue to miss out with injuries.
The Sky Blues, on the other hand, head into Saturday’s clash following back-to-back draws with Southampton and Leeds United. Coventry City, though, have already suffered six defeats on the road this term, which is probably the main reason why we are going to bet on Sunderland this time out. Mark Robins should have a full squad to choose from except for forward Fabio Tavares, who has yet to overcome an Achilles tendon injury.
Highlighted Player (Bradley Dack):
Born in Greenwich, England on December 31, 1993, Bradley Dack is a midfielder who plays for Blackburn Rovers in the Championship. Bradley Dack began his youth career at Charlton Athletic back in 2005 and five years later he moved to Corinthian. However, the English footballer started his senior career at Gillingham, making his league debut against Bradford City on August 18, 2012. 20 days later he scored his first senior goal as he found the net in Football League trophy clash against Crawley Town.
Before joining Blackburn Rovers on June 27, 2017 Bradley Dack played four games on loan for Braintree Town, scoring one goal in those league games. His main position is attacking midfielder, but he is used as both right and left midfielder as well. Dack once described himself as “free role behind two strikers”.
The Blackburn Rovers midfielder often finds the net and it has to be noted that he scored 16 goals in 36 appearances for the Riversiders in the 2017/2018 League One campaign.
Highlighted Team (Coventry):
Nicknamed the Sky Blues, Coventry City are an English football club that compete in the League One. Coventry City, who were founded on August 13, 1883 as Singers FC, wear sky blue kit when playing on home soil, whilst their away colour is white.
Aston Villa and Leicester City are considered the club’s main rivals, but they have rivalry with fellow West Midlands clubs Wallsall and Burton Albion as well. Coventry City have yet to win the Premier League trophy, but they did well to go all the way in the FA Cup in the 1986/1987 season, with the team beat Charlton Athletic in the two-legged final. They share stadium with Birmingham City, with both clubs playing their home games at St. Andrew’s Stadium.
Built in December, 1906, St. Andrew’s Stadium can hold up to 29,409 spectators. Dion Dublin is one of the most famous Coventry City players, with the legendary centre-forward scoring 61 goals in 145 appearances for the club in the league.
