Our prediction for this Championship match:
Swansea City and Bournemouth square off against each other at Swansea.com Stadium in a postponed Championship game. The Swans have drawn each of their last three league fixtures, and, as a result, they missed out on a spot in the playoffs. Since Swansea have little to play for in Tuesday’s clash, home win should not be considered. Jamie Paterson has recovered from his injury, meaning that head coach Russell Martin should have a full squad to choose from.
The Cherries, on the other hand, aim to cement their spot in top two. Bournemouth showed character in a 1-1 draw with league leaders Fulham, and seeing that they want this win more than Swansea, we believe that there is a big value in betting on Scott Parker’s troops. All Jordan Zemura, Junior Stanislas, Morgan Rogers, and Kieffer Moore are out of contention with injuries for the visiting team.
Highlighted Player (Korey Smith):
After spending his youth career at Norwich City, Korey Smith made his first-team debut for the Canaries in January 2008 in the FA Cup clash against Charlton Athletic. Smith played 67 league games for Norwich City and he scored 4 goals for the club, but in 2013 he signed a two-year deal with Oldham Athletic.
The midfielder who was born on 31 January, 1991, scored one goal in 42 appearances for the club in the 2013/2014 campaign and on 27 June, 2014, he joined Bristol City for an undisclosed fee. It has to be noted that he won Johnstone’s Paint Trophy with the Robins in his first season with the team.
Korey Smith was born in Hatfield, England and he has two younger sisters, Alice and Harriet. Smith is a defensive midfielder, but he is capable of operating as central midfielder and right back as well. The Bristol City footballer also represented the likes of Barnsley and Yeovil Town (on loan) in the past.
Highlighted Team (Bournemouth):
Bournemouth are a professional football club that was formed back in 1890. The Cherries secured promotion to the Premier League in the 2015/2016 season, with the team making it to the English top flight for the first time ever.
Bournemouth play their home games at Dean Court and the capacity of the stadium is 11,469.
The Cherries enjoyed a very successful season on their Premier League debut, with the team beating the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United in the national championship. Glenn Murray scored the winner for Bournemouth in the 1-0 win over the capital club at Stamford Bridge and that is probably the greatest victory in the club’s history.
Bournemouth have been participating in the FA Cup since 1913, but they have yet to win the trophy in the prestigious competition. It has to be noted that the club’s original name Boscombe Athletic Football Club was changed to Bournemouth back in 1923 as the club owners wanted the Cherries to be more representative of the district.
