Our prediction for this Championship match:
All eyes will be on the Hawthorns when West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield Wednesday square off against each other on Matchday 10. The Baggies produced a brilliant offensive performance in a 4-0 crushing of Preston and it is no wonder the bookies see them as favourites to win the midweek fixture as well. A man to keep an eye on in the home team will be experienced winger Matt Phillips, who won the Man of the match award at the weekend, while all Josh Maja, Adam Reach, and Daryl Dike are sidelined with injuries.
The Owls, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in back-to-back defeats to Swansea (0-3) and Sunderland (0-3) and given their shaky defence, we believe that there is a big value in betting on West Brom, who have been showing signs of improvement of late. Midfielder Mohamed Diaby and forward Mallik Wilks should be the only absentees in the visiting team.
Highlighted Player (Josh Windass):
Born in Hull, England on January 9, 1994, John Windass is a professional footballer who plays for Wigan Athletic. Windass is a product of Huddersfield Town youth academy, but he did not play for the Terriers at senior level.
The 175-cm-tall midfielder began his senior career at Accrington Stanley and after scoring 22 goals in 77 appearances in the league for the club, he moved to Glasgow Rangers in the summer of 2016. Two years later Josh Windass joined Wigan Athletic and he has been playing for the DW Stadium outfit ever since. He scored his first Championship goal on September 18, 2018 in a 2-1 win over Hull City.
His main position is attacking midfield, but he is used as both central midfielder and second striker as well. It has to be noted that Josh is the son of former footballer Dean Windass, who played for the likes of Hull City, Middlesbrough, Sheffield United and Bradford City during his professional career.
