Our prediction for this Champions League match:
Benfica will be aiming to make a flying start to their Champions League campaign when they welcome Qarabag to their Estadio da Luz on Tuesday evening. The Eagles are seen as hot favourites to win this match, but boss Bruno Lage must warn his men against complacency. A man to watch in the home team will be Greek forward Vangelis Pavlidis, who scored the opener in a 1-1 draw with Santa Clara at the weekend, while summer signings Dodi Lukebakio and Amar Dedic are both rated doubtful for the match.
The likes of Manu, Bruma, and Alexander Bah remain in the recovery room. The Azeri, on the other hand, will have a mountain to climb in Lisbon. Both Jonathan Montiel and Amin Ramazanov are sidelined with injuries and with Benfica turning their Estadio da Luz into a real fortress, home win should be considered.
