Borussia Dortmund will look to get their revenge on Ajax for a 4-0 loss at Johan Cruijff Arena when the two teams face each other at Signal Iduna Park on Wednesday evening. The Bundesliga outfit aim to retain their spot in top two in Group C, and they are likely to adopt an attack-minded approach in the midweek clash. Since key attacker Erling Haaland remains on the sidelines with injury, home win should not be considered.
The Amsterdammers, on the other hand, aim to keep their 100% record intact in the 2021/2022 Champions League campaign, and seeing that Erik ten Hag can count on key players for Wednesday’s clash, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the Dutch champions. Davy Klaassen is pushing for a start as Ajax failed to impress in a goalless draw with Heracles at the weekend.

Marco Reus is a German football player who was born on 31 May, 1989. The pacey attacking midfielder, who is capable of playing as a winger as well, started his senior career at Rot Weiss Ahlen and it has to be noted that he made 43 league appearances for the club in lower leagues.
In 2009 he signed a four-year contract with Borussia M’gladbach and he scored his first Bundesliga goal against Mainz on 28 August, 2009. After impressing with the Fohlen in the 2011/2012 Bundesliga campaign, he joined Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season. He has been playing for the Millionaires ever since and he represents Germany on the international stage as well.
However, he was more than unfortunate to miss the 2014 FIFA World Cup with injury when Joachim Low’s team lifted the prestigious trophy. To make things even worse for Marco Reus, he was forced to withdraw from the Germany Euro 2016 squad as well (injury). The German ace has a contract with Borussia Dortmund which expires on 30 June, 2019.

Ajax is a Dutch football club that was founded on 18 March, 1900. Ajax are well known for their youth academy, which regarded as one of the best youth football schools in the world. The likes of Johan Cruijff, Edwin van der Sar, Dennis Bergkamp, Patrick Kluivert, Rafael van der Vaart and Marco van Basten are all products of Ajax’s football academy. The Amsterdammers share a big rivalry with Feyenoord and there have always been fireworks when the two teams face each other in De Klassieker.
