Our prediction for this Champions League match:
Following a thrilling 3-3 draw with Bochum, Leipzig will be aiming to give fans yet another reason to celebrate when they take on Sporting CP in the Champions League round 7 on Wednesday. The Red Bulls dropped a three-goal advantage in the last Bundesliga game, meaning that they should be low on confidence against Sporting. As Leipzig have nothing to play for in Wednesday’s clash following six defeats in the elite competition, home win should not be considered.
The Lions, on the other hand, continue life without boss Ruben Amorim, but their display in a 3-0 win over Rio Ave is surely giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of the trip to Germany. Key Sporting attacker Viktor Gyokeres returns to the starting XI and given Leipzig’s shaky defence, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the Primeira Liga champions. Both Pedro Goncalves and Nuno Santos should miss out with injuries for the visiting side.
Highlighted Player (Willi Orban):
Willi Orban was born on 3 November, 1992 in Kaiserslautern, Germany. Orban plays as a centre back, but he can operate as a defensive midfielder as well. The 185-cm-tall footballer is a product of Kaiserslautern’s youth academy and he played 35 league games for the reserve team between 2011 and 2013.
Orban made his debut for the first team in 2011, against Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich. The Kaiserslautern footballer made 68 league appearances for Kaiserslautern, scoring 7 goals for the German outfit between 2011 and 2015, but in May 2015 he signed a contract with Leipzig. Kaislerslautern fans were very angry with the defender when he decided to join die Bullen.
Willi Orban has two caps for Germany U21, but he has yet to make his debut for the senior team. He has a contract with Leipzig, which expires on 30 June, 2019. Willi Orban has a dual citizenship (Germany, Hungary).
Highlighted Team (Sporting):

During this time that is also known as the club’s golden years, Sporting Lisbon won the majority of their 18 Primeira Liga titles in total. Sporting Lisbon boasts the quality football youth academy system which has yielded world-class footballers such as Paulo Furte, Simao Sabrosa, Nani and Ballon d’Or winners Figo and Cristiano Ronaldo.
