Our prediction for this Champions League match:
All eyes will be on the second leg of the Champions League qualifier between Maccabi Haifa and Sheriff Tiraspol after the Moldovan champions secured a narrow 1-0 victory in the first encounter. Maccabi Haifa will be eager to utilize their home advantage at the Sammy Ofer Stadium to turn the tie in their favor and we are positive that they will adopt an attack-minded approach this time out. There are no fresh injury worries in the home team, but both Jaber and Refaelov could sneak into the starting XI.
Sheriff Tiraspol, on the other hand, will enter the match with confidence, knowing they have the crucial away goal under their belt. The visitors will focus on maintaining their defensive solidity while seeking to exploit any counter-attacking chances. Roberto Bordin is unlikely to make changes to the team that defeated Maccabi a week ago. With a spot in the CL third qualifying round at stake, yet another low-scoring affair is on the cards, but the Israelis are closer to winning this double-header as they are a real force to be reckoned with at home.
Highlighted Player (Tjaronn Chery):
Tjaronn Chery is a pacey winger who is well known for his brilliant crosses. Chery impressed with Groningen in the 2014/2015 Eredivisie campaign and, as a result, QPR owners decided to sign him. The Dutch footballer was born in Hague on 4 June, 1988, but he has yet to make his debut for the Oranje.
Nonetheless, you should bear in mind that he was called up to the Netherlands squad in May, 2015. He used to play for the likes of Den Haag, Emmen, Roosendaal, Cambuur and Twente in the past, but no doubt, he was producing the best performances during his spell with Groningen.
Chery scored ten goals for Queens Park Rangers in the 2015/2016 Championship campaign and he was named Players’ Player of the Year. He is capable of playing on both wings, but he plays as an attacking midfielder as well. Tjaronn Chery has a deal with QPR which expires on 30 June, 2018. He is a left-footed player.
