Our prediction for this Champions League match:
All eyes will be on Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium when Olympiakos and Maccabi Haifa square off against each other in the Champions League second qualifying round, return leg. Olympiakos shared the spoils with Maccabi (1-1) in the first leg, but they are surely capable of beating the Israelis in front of home fans. Former Porto attacker Tiquinho Soares is widely expected to lead the line for the hosts, while Aboubakar Kamara is pushing for a start.
Barak Bakhar’s troops, on the other hand, produced a fine display in the first leg, but seeing that Olympiakos are a real force to be reckoned with at home, we do not believe that the underdogs are going to advance to the Champions League third qualifying round. Olympiakos defenders should have Dean David at bay as the 26-year-old centre-forward scored 14 goals in the national championship last term.
