Tottenham will look to build on a 2-1 win over Fulham when they take on Olympique Marseille in their Champions League opener. Spurs made a promising start to their Premier League campaign, and they are surely capable of beating OM in London. Since Harry Kane has already found his goal-scoring touch, home win should definitely be considered. Lucas Moura and Bryan Gil are the only absentees in the home team ahead of the visit of Olympique Marseille.
The Ligue 1 side, on the other hand, are on a four-game winning run in the national championship. Marseille are eyeing their fourth consecutive clean sheet, but preventing Son and Co. from scoring at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is easier said than done. Both Samuel Gigot and Dimitri Payet should miss out with injuries for the away team, while summer signing Alexis Sanchez is pushing for a recall to the starting XI.

Widely regarded as one of England’s best strikers at the moment, Harry Kane enjoyed a meteoric rise at Tottenham Hotspur, scoring 21 Premier League goals during the 2014/2015 campaign to be voted PFA Young Player of the Year.
The highly rated striker went on to surpass that achievement the following season as he helped Tottenham Hotspur mount a serious title challenge for the first time in club’s recent history and he made seamless transition to international football. Kane scored four goals in his first ten appearances for England to prove he was here to stay and at the same time established himself as a first choice striker in Roy Hodgson’s squad ahead of the Euro 2016 finals.
Kane is a modern striker, who is extremely dangerous in the opposition box, but it was some outstanding goals from distance as well as link-up play with teammates that earned him an excellent reputation in world football. Kane is expected to lead both Tottenham and England in years to come, that is if he can resist the lure of top European clubs that continue to cast admiring glances his way.

Olympique de Marseille are considered one of the best French football clubs. Les Olympiens won their ninth Ligue 1 title in 2010, but winning of the 1992/1993 Champions League trophy is seen as the club’s biggest success. Marseille defeated Italian giants Milan in the title game, with Basile Boli scoring the winner (1-0) in the Olympiastadion showdown.
It has to be noted, though, that the Stade Velodrome outfit were banned from defending the title in the 1993/1994 season after being involved in a match-fixing scandal. To make things even worse for the fans, the club suffered enforced relegation to the Ligue 2. Olympique de Marseille participated in the Europa League final on two occasions (1998/1999, 2003/2004), but they were beaten by Parma and Valencia respectively in the title games. OM’s home ground Stade Velodrome was opened on June 13, 1997 and the capacity of the stadium is 67.394.
