Celta Vigo
Celta Vigo will be aiming to book their place in the Copa del Rey last 32 when they face Gernika on Thursday evening. Os Celeste are high on spirits following a 3-1 win over Premier League side Brentford, but, no doubt, they want to give fans yet another reason for celebration. Since the Galicians rolled over CD Algar 6-1 in their Spanish Cup opener, away win should definitely be considered.
Since Augusto Solari has overcome his injury, Carlos Carvalhal will have a full squad to choose from. Gernika, on the other hand, are on a three-game winning run in Segunda B, with the team looking pretty solid at the back. During his youth career Hugo Mallo played for the likes of Porvir and Pontevedra, but he made the biggest progress at Celta Vigo. The Celta defender has three caps for Spain U21 team and he played for the U19 and the U20 teams as well in the past. On 9 January, 2013, Mallo suffered a serious knee injury and, as a result, he was forced to miss the rest of the season.
The right-footed player has a contract with Celta Vigo which expires on 30 June, 2019.
