Estadio Municipal de Marbella will host Tuesday’s Copa del Rey game between Marbella and Real Valladolid. Los Blanquillos have been struggling in Segunda Division B this season, with the team collecting nine from possible 24 points, and it is no wonder they are seen as underdogs in the Spanish Cup game. Marbella defeated Lleida thanks to a late goal from the penalty spot, but they face a difficult task against the La Liga side.
Defender Carlos Blanco misses the match through suspension, which is yet another reason why home win should not be considered. La Pucela, on the other hand, aim to build on a La Liga win over Getafe. Real Valladolid have been impressive at the back of late, and they are likely to rely on their rock-solid defence in the Copa del Rey clash. La Pucela attackers, though, are definitely capable of breaking the deadlock in the game against the out-of-sorts Segunda Division B side.
Highlighted Player (Shon Weissman):
After spending his youth career Maccabi Haifa, Shon Weissman continued wearing the green and white shirt at senior level. The 174-tall forward scored 8 goals in 32 appearances in the league for the Greens before joining Wolfsberger in 2019.
It has to be noted, though, that he played for the likes of Hapoel Acre, Maccabi Netanya and Ironi Kiryat Shmona on loan as well from 2015 to 2018. Born in Haifa on February 14, 1996 the Israeli footballer has yet to make his senior debut with the Israel national team, but he has two caps with the U21 team. Speaking of his career at Wolfsberger, Shon Weissman made his Austrian Bundesliga debut on July 27, 2019 in a 3-0 win at Admira.
Weissman opened his goal-scoring account on the same day, finding the net twice in the BSFZ-Arena clash. His main position is centre-forward, but he is capable of playing as both second striker and right winger as well.

Real Valladolid is a Spanish club based in Valladolid, the part of the autonomous community of Castille and Leon. Founded in 1928, Real Valladolid play their home matches at Jose Zorilla, the venue that has the capacity 26,512. La Pucela have yet to win the La Liga title, but it is important to note that they finished fourth at the end of the 1962/1963 season.
Real Valladolid made it to the Spanish Cup final on two occasions (1949/1950, 1988/1989). In 1984 they won Copa de la Liga (League Cup), which is considered the team’s biggest success. Speaking of their European records, Real Valladolid participated in the 1989/1990 UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup quarter-finals.
La Pucela are well known for their purple and white shirts, but they are known for some top-class footballers as well. The likes of Diego Costa, Cuauhtemoc Blanco, Borja Fernandez, Rene Higuita, Luis Garcia and Aritz Aduriz played for Real Valladolid in the past.
