Juventus play host to Sampdoria at their Allianz Stadium in the Coppa Italia last 16. The Bianconeri aim to build on a 2-0 win over Udinese, and they are likely to adopt an attack-minded approach in Tuesday’s clash. All Morata, Rabiot, and Bernardeschi are pushing for a start, while Bonucci, Chiesa, and Ramsey should miss out with injuries. La Samp, on the other hand, suffered a dip in form, with the team losing each of their last three league fixtures.
Roberto D’Aversa’s troops are low on spirits ahead of the trip to Turin, and given their poor away record, we believe that “The Old Lady” are going to advance to the Italian Cup quarter-finals without any difficulties. Matthijs de Ligt is yet another product of famous Ajax football academy. After making 17 appearances for Jong Ajax, Matthijs de Ligt started playing for the senior team in 2016. The talented centre-back, who was born on August 12, 1999 in Leiderdorp (Netherlands) made his debut for the Amsterdammers on September 21, 2016 in a cup game against Willem II. Thanks to this goal Matthijs de Ligt became the second youngest goalscorer ever, behind legendary midfielder Clarence Seedorf.
In March, 2017, the Ajax defender made his debut for the Netherlands national team in a 2-0 loss to Bulgaria in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers. In 2018 he received AFC Ajax Talent of the Year award (Marco Van Basten Award). Mathiijs de Ligt’s main position is centre-back and his preferred foot is right. His contract with the Amsterdammers should expire on June 30, 2021.

The club colours of Sampdoria are blue and white and is known under the nickname Blucerchiati. Sampdoria host it’s home games in the Stadio Luigi Ferraris which is located in Genua. Interesting detail is that their biggest city rival Genoa is playing their home games in Stadio Luigi Ferraris as well.
