GFC Ajaccio and Lille take on each other at Stade Ange-Casanova in the Coupe de France last 32. GFC Ajaccio set up a meeting with Lille by beating Furiani Agliani, Saint-Omer, and Saint Brice, but seeing that they have not been in action in the league since October 20, 2020, the underdogs are unlikely to claim a major scalp in the French Cup.
Les Dogues, on the other hand, showed character in their last league match, with the team scoring two late goals in a 2-0 win over Marseille. Lille have big ambitions for the Coupe de France as they suffered elimination in the Europa League, and we are positive that they will go all guns blazing at GFC Ajaccio. When the two teams met in the Ligue 1 five years ago Lille defeated Ajaccio 4-2, and we predict that the history is going to repeat itself.

After spending his youth career at CS Paris-Charenton, UJA AlfortVille and Saint-Etienne, Jonathan Bamba started playing for Saint-Etienne II at senior level. In 2015 he was given a chance to prove his worth with the first team and it has to be noted that he scored eight goals in 42 appearances for les Verts in Ligue 1.
Following his loan spells with Paris, Sint-Truiden and Angers, Jonathan Bamba joined Lille in the summer of 2018. The pacey winger born in Alfortville (France) on March 26, 1996, has been playing for les Dogues ever since, but he has yet to earn a cap for the French national team. Nonetheless, Jonathan Bamba has 12 caps with France U21 in which he scored four goals for les Tricolores.
Jonathan Bamba’s main position is left winger, but he is used as a centre-forward as well. The French footballer, whose preferred foot is right, has a contract with Lille until June 30, 2023.

Lille have been playing an important role in French football ever since they were founded in 1944. Les Dogues won their first domestic trophy in the 1945/1946 season.
Lille did well to win their second Ligue 1 title in 1954 and 57 years later they lifted their last domestic title. Les Douges finished the 2010/2011 season in top position in the standings, eight points clear of second-placed Olympique Marseille and it has to be noted that Lille attacker Moussa Sow won the Golden Boot (25 goals).
Lille are one of the two teams that managed to win three consecutive Coupe de France trophies (1946, 1947, 1948), but they have yet to clinch the Coupe de la Ligue title. Les Dogues faced PSG in the 2015/2016 Coupe de la Ligue trophy, but les Parisiens proved to be a big catch for Frederic Antonetti’s team in the title game.
