Our prediction for this Coupe de France match:
Rennes will try to recover from a 2-1 loss to Olympique Marseille when they face Troyes in the Coupe de France last 32 on Wednesday evening. Les Rouges et Noirs made a slow start to 2025, but the upcoming French Cup game could turn their fortunes around. As head coach Jorge Sampaoli is expected to shuffle his pack, all Fofana, Nagida, Ahamada, and Gronbaek are pushing for recalls to the starting XI.
Stephane Dumont’s troops, on the other hand, failed to impress in a 2-1 loss to ten-man Rodez and given their unsuccessful Ligue 2 campaign, anything but a routine away win would be a big shock. In their last meeting in a competitive match, Rennes rolled over Troyes 4-0, which definitely goes in favour of our earlier prediction. Troyes forward Renaud Ripart is a major doubt after limping off with injury in the last league match.
