Denmark and San Marino face each other in a David-vs-Goliath clash in the EURO 2024 qualifiers. Denmark are seen as hot favourites to win Thursday’s clash, but boss Kasper Hjulmand must warn his men against complacency. Fit-again Manchester United summer signing Rasmus Hojlund made the cut as well as his teammate Christian Eriksen. Andreas Skov Olsen has been producing excellent displays with Club Brugge this season, meaning that the opposition back-line should have him at bay.
San Marino, on the other hand, suffered a loss in each of their four group games. Since the rock-bottom side have yet to find the net in Group H, anything but a routine home win would be a big surprise. In their last group game the minnows suffered a massive 6-0 loss to Finland, which is yet another reason why a high-scoring affair is on the cards at Parken Stadium in Copenhagen.

On 29th of August Eriksen got transferred for 13 million euro and is one of the most expensive Danish football players of all time. Christian Eriksen made his debut in March 2010 for the Danish national team and was the youngest player during the World Cup in 2010.
So far Eriksen played for over 200 club games for Ajax and Tottenham Hotspur. Eriksen is known for his great passing skills and game overview. In his career Eriksen managed to become national champion with Ajax 3 times and won several individual prices for being one of the most talented player of the moment.

San Marino played their first official match back in 1990, with the team suffering a 4-0 loss to Switzerland in the European Championship qualifiers. The minnows often serve as a cannon fodder for their rivals in competitive games, but it has to be noted that they did well to hold Estonia to a goalless draw in the Euro 2016 qualifiers.
