Our prediction for this Europa Conference League match:
Besiktas play host to Laussane at their Tupras Stadium in the Conference League playoffs, second leg. The two teams played out a 1-1 draw in Switzerland, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men are seen as hot favourites to win the reverse fixture. Summer signing Tammy Abraham is widely expected to lead the line for the hosts, while fellow forward Mustafa Hekimoglu remains in the recovery room. Solskjaer is likely to stick to the 4-2-3-1 formation with Joao Mario and Rashica starting as wingers.
Lausanne, on the other hand, showed character in the first leg, with defender Bryan Okoh scoring a late equalizer, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry in Turkey. Besiktas are a real force to be reckoned with at home and given Brandon Soppy’s injury, we predict that the visitors will return to Switzerland with their hands empty. Nathan Butler-Oyedeji is widely expected to replace Soppy in the starting XI.
